Hey gang!  It’s been a while! Here’s an update on what’s going on with the people in our band:  Ben is educating the heck out of the shorties. Sean just finished moving into a new house with his cousin Andy and his friend John. Anyway, we are practicing every week to prepare for recording our next album. It is a ton of fun. Sean recently procured a Flying V, and Ben just bought a sweet nasty new bass amp, the name of which I can’t remember….  In other news, we’re playing a show tomorrow!! We are incredibly fortunate to get to play with Sleeping in the Aviary, a band that we had the immense pleasure of watching at the Starlite House the last time we were in Little Rock, Arkansas. That night we were completely blown away by them, and bought their albums “Expensive Vomit in a Cheap Hotel” and “Oh, This Old Thing?”   Sleeping in the Aviary is a very very very awesome band, we can’t recommend them enough.  They also have a great website, which for some reason I can’t link on tumblr.  Copy and paste this shit: http://www.sleepingintheaviary.com. ROAR is also playing, and if you took our previous advice to download their record from Quote Unquote, you will know that they are one of Phoenix’s greatest musical assets. The show information is on the flier above, and I’m pretty sure that the show will be 7 dollars.  One last thing: Controversial Phoenix New Times music editor Martin Cizmar met with us over cheeseburgers and beers recently, and we had a very engaging conversation with him about the nature of our band and about the place we live: downtown Phoenix, Arizona.  Here is the link to that article: http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/2011-01-20/music/music/ We love how this article turned out, however we would be remiss to not point out a few slight misquotes, for the purpose of precision: Ben was the one that said “Fuck Martin Cizmar” at Grand Ave Fest, and Sean likes to work a day job, makes secret indulgent noise music and didn’t have to take out student loans his last year of college. It’s not Martin’s fault that Ben and I sound the same on a tape recorder, no harm no foul. :-) We hope you guys are having a wonderful January, and we promise to keep in touch better this year. Have fun!!!    :-)
